Tree Plantation under Environment is a newly added focus area under the domain of SEIF with an aim to create a carbon sink base by sequestration of carbon dioxide through plantation of 1 million trees by 2025.

The plantation projects also include supporting farmers through Agroforestry and women of Self Help Groups. Through Micro forests, Social Forestry along with Mangrove plantations, pollution detox zone in urban/rural areas and cyclone and erosion control zones in coastal areas are created.

Through the plantations, we also aim to provide an additional source of income to the farmers and community members.

Assessment of the site for tree plantation. The selection of location/site for the plantation is purely on need basis.

Agreement signing with the best suited partner.

Land Approvals for the plantation and purchase of saplings

Tree Plantation Process along with employee volunteering

Monitoring of the plantation process for a minimum of 3 years.
