Mr. Gurdeep Singh belongs to a family where his father was a carpenter and used to earn Rs 300 on daily basis. There were days when there was no surety of food availability at home. Father had always been in great pressure not only to provide basic necessities but was under the loan of rupees 1.5 lakh.

His dream to become an engineer was a dream only. Never the less he was zealous and some how was able to complete his senior secondary education.

One fine day while he was at his friend's place he got to know about Schneider electric India foundation’s partnered training center ICICI Academy for skills at Mohali. At that moment only he decided to visit the academy as he could envisage his dream coming true. When he came here where one of our experienced faculty member counselled him and guided him to join electrical home appliances course. He immediately took the admission and started the course.

After completion of the course he got selected with Energy Saving Corporation at Mohali, at 9k...and within the time of period 3 months only he handled team of 2 to 3 technicians independently.

He started installing Solar Panels and within 9 months he started earning 15k.

Later, he started his own company named G.S.Solar enterprises at Patiala. He started handling various projects of solar installation across Punjab and his major project included PU University in Jalandhar.

Not only this he has also recruited students of our academy as electricians from our EHA batches. Around 7 to 10 students were able to clear the round of interview which he conducted himself as an employer. The students selected in his company are earning 9k pm.

Adding to it he has repaid loan of rupess 2 lakhs (inclusive of interest) now. His father is leading a comfortable life. He is successfully married and owns his own car these days.
